Miombo Blossom
June – September
Our Miombo Blossom variety is named after the miombo woodland where it is harvested. Miombo is the dominant woodland type in East Africa, with a wide range of flowering trees, shrubs and grasses. Bees combine nectar from these plants to create a honey with a unique flavour. It is produced from June to September, at the end of the long rains, when the forest flowers and the bees can make honey while the sun shines.
Miombo Blossom is an amber honey with a strong flavour, a distinctly sweet floral taste and a touch of citrus. The wide range of flowering plants gives it a rich character and a strong aroma of wild forest flowers.
